These questions keep you from performing at your best...
Whether it is at work, showing up for relationships that are important to you or making decisions that you know are in your best interest. Sometimes, these questions keep you from connecting and communicating meaningfully with others, leaving you feeling isolated and like you don’t belong. This means you could even be experiencing sleep disturbances or illness that keep you from experiencing joy, vitality and wholeness.
You know you don’t have to feel like this, but it’s like you’re stuck and you don’t know what to do to feel better.
Well, let's get you 'unstuck'
Hi, my name is Randi,
I understand what it feels like to be ‘stuck’. To feel like you’ve done all this work to get to where you are and then realize that you’re still not ‘happy’ (whatever that even means!)
I can help you become ‘unstuck’.
Using a holistic approach to health and wellbeing, I incorporate the mind, body and spirit into the healing process so you can regain control of your life, emotions, and relationships.
What counselling looks like…
Healing occurs when we do the work of understanding who we are & connecting meaningfully to our own story. As such, Together, we will work in answering questions that may include:
- What has happened to you?
- How did that impact you?
- How do you want to feel now?
- What’s important to me?
During our counselling sessions, we will examine the story you have created for yourself along life’s journey (e.g. I’m not good enough, I’m not lovable, others will reject me) and re-write your story incorporating your true values and identity so you can navigate life with clarity, confidence and from a place of wholeness.
- Understand how you work and what parts of you are asking for healing
- Identify your values and what’s important to you
- Heal from past events and relationships
- Increase clarity
- Know what your mind, body and spirit need in order for you to be feeling your best
- Communicate more effectively with others
- Identify your triggers and increase resilience

How does therapy help?
I specialize in working with education workers who are navigating workplace stress and burnout. Working together, we can find strategies to manage your symptoms of stress and burnout and find ways to navigate your workplace in ways that align with your values.
Sometimes events happen in our lives, a tragic accident, a difficult relationship, an injury, or even a diagnosis, that knocks us off our feet. It shakes us to our core and leaves us feeling like we’ve lost control and don’t know what’s next. Working together, we can explore ways to recover from these challenging life events that fit your personality and bring you back to feeling whole again.
When we lose a loved one, the grief can be overwhelming. The grief we experience when navigating divorce or the ending of a significant relationship can make us feel a range of emotions that can be difficult to navigate. Working together, we can process your grief in a safe space, and find meaning once again.
Starting a new job, moving cities/countries, graduating from school or celebrating a milestone birthday can result in feeling like you’re changing identities, wondering what your values are and how you want your life to play out in this new reality. Working together, we can navigate your transitions bringing clarity, an understanding of how you want to connect with yourself and others after this important transition.

- Parts Work
Ninety percent of the present moment is informed by our past experiences, and the meaning we give to those experiences. In narrative therapy, we explore what stories we are telling ourselves based on our life experiences, what narratives we want to keep believing, and what narratives we want to re-write.
Research over the past 40 years has proven what many of us already know - spending time in nature supports our physical and mental health. As a certified Forest Therapy Guide, I am passionate about incorporating the healing power of nature into the psychotherapy process. Outdoor therapy sessions can take place at a local trail (for existing clients living in the Durham Region).
The emotional center of our brain, the amygdala, keeps us safe by engaging our fight, flight, freeze or fawn response to threats. Sometimes, our amygdala overworks and tries to protect us from feeling emotional pain by activating our fight/flight/freeze response, even when we don’t want it to. Havening helps us to ‘reprogram’ our amygdala using gentle touch and guided imagery so we can respond to our environment in ways that align with our values.
Inside each of us is a vast network of different parts of us, that all serve a specific purpose. Along with these parts, we have our true Self, the part of us that carries the essence of who we truly are. Sometimes, these parts of us aren’t in alignment and our true Self gets put on the backburner, losing its sense of voice and agency over your life. By building a relationship with each of these parts and healing them, your true Self can come through loud and clear, giving you control over your life again.
FAQ
The therapeutic process is based on individual issues, needs and readiness for therapy. Therefore, the answer to this question is as unique as the individual. Some people come for a few sessions and feel that they have achieved their goals, some people attend long-term as part of their regular health care practice. This is typically discussed as time progresses in therapy and we determine whether your goals for therapy have been reached or not
Many insurance companies cover psychotherapy as part of their extended health benefits. It depends on the specific plan that you have, if you have one. It is highly recommended that you check with your individual benefit and insurance policy before engaging in therapy if you think psychotherapy services are covered. Also, according to the Canadian Revenue Agency, receipts for psychotherapy can be submitted as medical expenses on your personal income tax.
At Soul-Led Wellness, our psychotherapy rates are:
- 50-minute appointment is $140 + HST.
- 75-minute appointment is $200 + HST.
* Payments can be made via credit card or e-transfer.
Typically, weekly appointments are most appropriate during the first few weeks of therapy, and then bi-weekly after that. The frequency of your appointments may shift and change as time goes on and you discuss your progress towards your goals with your therapist. You are always in control of when and how often you attend appointments.
